Re: Getting blocked by Immunify360 while accessing the forum

Yeah, it happened to me too. In my experience, this happened when I post something, then immediately edit it, and when reposting, it triggers the blocking. Happened to me more times than I care to remember...

Re: SXML (Simple XML parser)

Ok, I updated the repo now. Provided is a simple object-oriented interface that is pretty easy to use. In sxml-example-2.bas there's an example of how to use it. As usual, any bugs/report, any questions/ask. Now, on to the SVG renderer...

Re: SXML (Simple XML parser)

That looks like a very useful tool. Can you also render the SVG-files in FreeBASIC, or is that still work in progress? Yes, you can. However, all this code does is parsing the XML file into a data structure (a linked list). I'll show a more useful implementation later (that uses some hashed list, s...

SXML (Simple XML parser)

While I was working on my entry for Lachie's competition, I coded a simple XML parser that somebody could also find useful. It's pretty barebones, but gets the job done (mostly). All it does is parse the file into a representation that can be used directly with FreeBasic. It can be found here: https...

Hi guys! Any progress? Yes, but very little on the front-end side. So far, a tentative title screen and the main menu (without background elements): https://thumbs2.imgbox.com/94/0a/3STvaD6J_t.png https://thumbs2.imgbox.com/42/c4/Y54tL7U7_t.png Been working on the editor, mostly. Sorry guys for the delay with listing the final entries. I have problem running Zamaster's The Secret Garden, and I'm still not sure how to go about it. Is it playable for you? https://drive.google.com/file/d/1rqyCeBhQj2z7daW64eKGSQlhtGlAc_YA/view?usp=sharing After I choose N to "Fullscreen (r...

Re: "A Love Letter To FreeBASIC" Game Dev Competition (Oct 2018 – Feb 2019), 1000 $ 1st prize

I'm preparing something at a hectic pace (begun to prepare something for the compo about 3 weeks ago), but I think an extension would be nice (better/more polished games can be presented overall). About a week is enough for me, don't know about others. Thanks for considering it for those of us arriv...

Re: Making heatMaps more Dynamic

... But I can see issues possibly down the line... for instance a world of 10k x 10k x 100 'depth' would be 10gb if only 1 byte per cell! for now, i will keep things manageable with 1k x 1k x 10 (10mb) (or smaller) since it's just prototyping (or, a 'toy', as you might say)... should be more than e...

Re: "A Love Letter To FreeBASIC" Game Dev Competition (Oct 2018 – Feb 2019), 1000 $ 1st prize

The theme won't change/be removed. It's well elaborated why that theme, and besides that, it's definitely not an option in this late stage of the competition to just get rid of the reason why it was organized in the first place. Yes, I understand. Fair enough, then. I'll see if I can elaborate some...
