Re: Respond to mouse click on dynamic edit box

Hi Sancho2, The edit control does a lot by itself, like managing mouse click to select text, etc, etc. Not all messages are directly forwarded to the main dialog callback. Subclassing the control will give you more power. Here is a code example of what you could add to your program to do so. Pierre ...

Re: An Issue with Combobox Focus...

Hey Josep,

Always good to ear from you,
Yes, you are right, GWLP_WndProc should have been used.
And Cast(HMENU, Cast(LONG_PTR, SomeWordContolId)) is a cleaner approach.
I did update the code above.

Thank. :-)

Re: An Issue with Combobox Focus...

Hey, For the fun of it, one may also subclass the edit part of the combobox to get access to usefull messages. Pierre http://somesite.host-ed.me/freeBASIC/image/ComboBoxEditSel01.png #Include Once "windows.bi" #Include Once "win/commctrl.bi" #Include Once "win/shellapi.bi&qu...

It may also be a good time to use #Undef...

Pierre

Code: Select all

#Undef SECURITY_NT_AUTHORITY  'Set as (0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 5) in win\winnt.bi file.
#Define SECURITY_NT_AUTHORITY ({0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 5})

Re: After Win8.0, GetVersionEx() behavior has changed.

Also, Instead of GetVersionEx() one may use NetWkstaGetInfo, or RtlGetVersion(RTL_OSVERSIONINFOW | RTL_OSVERSIONINFOEXW). Both functions will return the real OS version without the need for a valid manifest file under Windows 8 and 10. They are available since Windows 2000. Pierre #Include Once &quo...

Taskbar's thumbnail with tool-bar buttons

Hey, This is some 32/64 bit code that will show a thumbnail with a three buttons tool-bar.
