Kapersky heuristics reports a trojan when I go to the listed pages in Chrome. It is possible that pages have malicious code injected into them. Considering that Lachie hand-rolled his own code for that site with php (which makes it nice and easy to write vulnerable scripts), then I wouldn't be surpr...

You could (and should for portability reasons) use relative paths if the resources are in the same directory or a sub directory of the application. You also don't even need to specify the path for soundrec or other programs in the windows path environment variable, when calling from shell.

Can anyone confirm if this works for FreeBSD 7.2? I have become interested in this to possibly toy with making some cgi apps on my webserver running FreeBSD 7.2, but have no experience with it at all and don't want to waste any time.

Thanks

That 'commando' mistake made this topic hilarious to read xD Imagine if we used commandos when we programmed!

Just for future reference, the term you were after was "command".

I think the way everything is presented in the wiki is great (although I prefer the offline conversions much more than the wiki itself). The first time I played with FreeBasic, everything was right there in the manual in a nice simple and straight to the point way- it made learning FreeBasic easy. T...

I don't know about the others, but I just followed the ideas everyone posted here. I would say this challenge was more of a decoding challenge than a decrypting one- not to say it wasn't fun though. It would have been much harder if you did what Mysoft did with his own character table rather than us...

There should be rules to these decryption competitions. On HackThisSite.org, they used to allow you to use the encryption program to encrypt your own messages and try to figure it out. It's almost impossible to decrypt something from a small fragment, without torturing the encryptor.

Something like this could work (untested): nums(1) = GetInt(1, 100) i=1 while (i<=4) n=GetInt(1,100) j=1 while (j<i-1) if (n=nums(i)) then print "You already picked that! Try again." n=GetInt(1,100) j=1 endif j+=1 wend nums...

It would be better to load everything you are going to draw on the screen at the beginning (eg, think of loading screens in some games you see- you enter a new map and resources are loaded) and free them once at the end (ie, when you leave a map).
