I tried typing "as --version" into the terminal but it gave me this output "bash: as: command not found"

I've already installed Linux freebasic on my computer but when I use geany to compile it tells me untitled.bas() error 90: Executable not found: "as". I already have the binutils package on my Linux system and it still doesn't work.

I'm not sure I understand what your saying. But I do have linux and I would just like to figure out how to use that to compile.

I tried again with the new one like you said and it does the same thing. Maybe freebasic doesn't support the linux distro I'm using(Precise Puppy Linux).

It will pre-process without any errors but compiling doesn't work.

I already have virtual box.I also have four partitions each running a different OS, Sli Taz linux, windows XP, Windows 10, and Dos. But I couldn't get freebasic for linux to work. Thanks Everybody. I wanted to make a name input for a game. But you could type infinitely in the name input area and it caused problems. Thanks to you I fixed it.

It does come with the freebasic extended library but I didn't have that. I got it now.

Go to advanced search
