Create a text file like this:

Code: Select all

[InternetShortcut]
URL=file:///x:\path\yourprogram.exe
IconFile=file:///x:\path\yourprogram.exe
IconIndex=0

Save it as "yourprogram.url" and that's it.

Nice tip.

Perhaps the coordinates from

ScreenControl(SET_WINDOW_POS, X, Y)

could be stored as static variables and used when SCREEN is called?

Or better, SCREEN and SCREENRES have another option to start hidden?

I think the delay is caused by external links. Like this.

If you post a small program (as small as possible) that shows the error then somebody will show you how to do it properly.

You posted two nice programs, but with no code! So how can a forum full of programmers comment on them?

Still, it shows you can make nice little programs.

Sisophon2001, can you post the result of the program (example or w/e) when ran through valgrind? I have never used valgrind. If you are familiar with it, then just run the example posted above through it. I think I would prefer to explore the source code of FB as the next step, but I am still think...

BUG Report Dynamic Lib in Ubuntu

Hi, The FreeBASIC example of using a dynamic library will corrupt the console if compiled and run in Ubuntu (Gnome terminal and xterm tested) if the library is not unloaded with a call to dylibfree. The issue is not obvious when the library is freed in code (as in the example), but will resurface in...

FreeBASIC Bug

Hi Joshy, The bug is in FreeBASIC, not in FBSound. If you delete all calls to the asound library, you still have the bug. The bug is hidden in the example of using a shared library that comes with FreeBASIC because the example unloads the library with dylibfree. However this only hides the problem, ...

FBSound Console Bug - ongoing

Hi Joshy, I tried to reduce this long standing bug (garbage printed to console on exit of fbsound in ubuntu) today to a smaller piece of code without much success. From my observations it appears to be triggered when the alsa dynamic library is unloaded. I was thinking of translating the alsa plugin...

Hi Joshy, My intention was to increment the pointer into the sound. I think that is what it is? Whether my example was rubbish or not, there is still a bug. Please look at the source code for the function fbs_get_soundpointers(). This is part of the code. if lpNewPlay<>NULL then lpNew=cptr(byte ...

FBSound BUG

I think there is a bug in the FBSound fbs_Set_SoundPointers function. When I try setting the play position, the play position is unchanged, but the sound is truncated. Using Ubuntu 10.10 and FBSound 0.10 Example. #libpath "../lib" #include "../inc/fbsound.bi" const plug_path = &q...
