From reading the git --help this is what i tried. ~/gitfbc $ git --git-dir=git://fbc.git.sourceforge.net/gitroot/fbc/fbc fetch fatal: Not a git repository: 'git://fbc.git.sourceforge.net/gitroot/...

I think the library you are missing is part of the gcc compiler. Have you forgotten to reinstalled build-essential?

The only confusing issue regarding negation and power is how this expression is evaluated. -2^2 In a spreadsheet (excel or OpenOffice) and a many "basic" calculators or expression evaluators it is evaluated as 4, while in all computer languages that I have seen or "advanced" calculators it is evalua...

I don't think there is anybody currently active on this forum who can give you a better answer that sir_mud did. The developer who wrote all this code left long ago. But no Window Manager? I am not surprised FBGFX does not work. A FBGFX program will not run from a non-graphical terminal (like you ge...

I think you can't use DLL_PROCESS_ATTACH in FreeBASIC. Perhaps because the code would then not be Linux compatible? I think you can use a module level Constructor instead. This will be called before any other code in the procedure is run. See if this page is what you are looking for. http://www.free...

There is no in-built mechanism to hide or lock files in a FAT32 formated drive. Saying you do not wish to encrypt the data makes your request for ideas a puzzle. I would encrypt the files, or use TrueCrypt to make an encrypted and hidden partition. Perhaps this is not what you wanted, but it is what...

I clicked the edit button on the right the first time, which is why I ended up in the wrong window, with options to edit the underlying map.

LEFT Edit button worked.

Thanks,

@Lachie; Please forgive my ignorance but how can I add myself to your map? I can see your location and photo, I logged in with my Gmail account, but I cannot add myself. Very nice idea btw, thanks. Anil I just tried to add my name, after logging in with gmail. I saw the add button after pressing ed...

@Pitchard If You say you are 20 then I am not saying anymore either. I do not have the resource to hire a PI or something. At 14 I do not preach other people . Well times change with advent of online social networks you can pretend to be anything. I don't really understand why you question Pitchard...

Works perfectly on two Ubuntu setups, UNR 10.04 & Ubuntu 10.10. I tested both the compiled file, and then recompiled and tested again.
