Re: TinyDialog a simple Windows and Linux user interface.

Thank you, sir_mud. But if I run your code, a get a lot of compiler error messages: C:\FreeBASIC\TinyDialog\FBTEMP.bas(4) error 18: Element not defined, addSeperator in 'dlg.addSeperator ["label text"]' C:\FreeBASIC\TinyDialog\FBTEMP.bas(4) error 3: Expected End-of-Line, found '[' in 'dlg....

Re: My first game

Very nice!

'Locate' works well because you use row numbers and column numbers, not pixel coordinates.
Example: 'Locate 3, 0' means put the text cursor to row 3, column 0.
That is the way how 'Locate' is defined.

TinyDialog

Who is familiar with TinyDialog? http://www.freebasic.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=20686 D.J. Peters writes: " If you use a fbgfx screen you can show any dialog via the right mouse button. " What does that mean? Is this a method to select one of the dialogs, e.g. from a popup menu whi...

Re: TinyDialog a simple Windows and Linux user interface.

Thank you, but it is no problem for me to understand how 'GetMouse' works. Who can explain me what D.J. Peters means: "If you use a fbgfx screen you can show any dialog via the right mouse button"?

Re: TinyDialog a simple Windows and Linux user interface.

sir_mud, may be I have misunderstood what D.J.Peters wrote. I have compiled your example into the folder whih contains TinyDialog.dll and libTinyDialog.dll.a. When I run your example, it displays a black graphics window and displays the mouse position and the pressed button. But I have expected if I...

Re: TinyDialog a simple Windows and Linux user interface.

I do not understand, what do you mean? Do I have to evaluate the right mouse button via 'Getmouse' in my code? Could you please give me an example?

When I click with the right mouse button on the fbgfx screen, I do not see anything (WIndows 8).

Code: Select all

#include once "TinyDialog.bi"
ScreenRes 640, 480, 32
GetKey

Re: FreeBasic questions

@SamSam, 'Locate' works with ScreenRes, but the cursor is not visible, only in the console window. If you need a visible cursor, you can draw a vertical or horizontal line at the cursor position, using 'Draw String'. See http://www.freebasic.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=20908&hilit=line+and...

Re: Program crash

Compile your program with -exx and run the .exe file from the command window (console). Probaly you will get an error message where your program crashes and why.

Re: Introduction to Forum

Hello OlDosLover, welcome to this forum. Since QB64 in its basic version is very similiar to QBASIC or QB45, you might for the first time use the -lang qb option. See "FreeBASIC Dialects" in the FreeBASIC Manual. This FreeBASIC dialect is compatble to QBASIC and allows implicit variable de...

Re: [Win/Linux] Visual WX-C Designer

Since WxFBE is not yet finished, I have done some tests with the Visual WX-C Designer and have written a first small program. The tutorial in the FreeBasic Portal is very helpful, together with the examples provided in the "examples" folder. Since I only work on small projects, I think I w...

Thank you, I have also noticed the problem with the documentation example. So I will use FB 0.90.

Bug in PMap

I have found a bug in FreeBASIC 090.1:

Code: Select all

Screenres 500, 500
Window (-1, -1) - (1, 1)
Print pmap(0, 0)  '---> 500, expected: 250
Print pmap(0, 1)  '---> -1, expected: 250
Sleep

In FB 0.24 it worked well!

Re: FireFly Visual Designer for FreeBASIC (Updated Oct 22, 2

@Paul,

I have tested some of my projects with this new test version, and I could also create a new small test project without problems. Seems to work well. When can we expect a new release?

Regards,
Lothar

Re: FireFly Freebasic extensions : Compile to Dll...

@marpon, I have done most of my work during the last year with PureBasic due to its easy GUI programming facilities. But I am still curious on FreeBASIC, and I have downloaded FireFlyMP and CSED_FB. Looks very promising. In FireFlyMP I did not find a dialog to define the path to CSED_FB (Menu Tools ...
