Re: sGUI

interesting. but the examples in version 0.8.60 no longer work...

is still a piece of work, but the differences between the two versions are not as big as it is impossible.

...after a very long time... something new again. There will be a kind of window system in the successor. At the moment only this one exists. I'm amazed what you can do with a single thread.

Re: Eschecs 1.2.1 (UCI chess GUI)

@ Roland and Paul Doe: if that is the cause of the bug I can offer a modified Version: 64Bit support and for the mouse buttons, mouse position and mouse wheel a ScreenEvent is now used. But that has not been extensively tested, either alone or with your chess program. https://1drv.ms/u/s!AsTPhVzcfzR...

Re: Programming/math "puzzle" for you, guys

My thinking tells me that this must have to do with the procedure you're using to pick them when you create the string. There is a large number of possible valid strings (which would be interesting to calculate and demonstrate too) and my guess is that the cumulative differences would change depend...

Re: Programming/math "puzzle" for you, guys

I think it means the above proof doesn't show it to be necessarily possible (or impossible). I think I have understood what you said, not quite sure :) this little zip contains 10 files, 10003 bytes long and the code inside starts with 000,111....999 http://www.muttonhead.homepage.t-online.de/data/...

Re: Programming/math "puzzle" for you, guys

- Finally, there is the case in which the string started with BCD and B=C=D. We can avoid this by simply never starting the string with three equal digits.

What does this mean? You will (or must) get stuck if you start with 000,111 ... 999?
Have you checked this?

Re: sGUI

Nice to see a user :) At the moment I do not have much time for the further development of the new version. But if you are interested, you can take a look at the "current" development status: http://www.muttonhead.homepage.t-online.de/data/sGUI_v0.8.6.zip Mutton
