Re: 80 x 25 Text Editor

[quote="MrSwiss"]
Before using it however, I'd test it on DOS (since, I have no DOS machine, any longer!).
It's only been tested on Windows-Console! (WIN-FBC 32/64, no DOS-FBC here!)[/quote

Thank you for your suggestion that was helpfull but im looking for a scrolled window.

Re: Open Random file the EOF :Solved

have no library for 16bit for old dos (In my case MS DOS 6.22) I think you don't understand a few important things, mainly: FB for DOS = 32bit (that's the reason it needs a DPMI-driver), and not 16bit (running 32bit Application, on 16bit OS) . Similar to: Windows on DOS (the early WIN versions). No...

Re: Open Random file the EOF :Solved

... MySQL doesnt develope anymore a Dll for MSDOS. First: I've not mentioned MySQL but SQLite, which isn't the same thing. Second: it's still easier IMO, to adapt an existing Lib. to another system (WIN to DOS) than writing it from scratch (e.g. SQLite (WIN32) from Paul Squires). Use Forum Advanced...

Re: Open Random file the EOF :Solved

The above code don't work: - The first time when the file (test.dat) is created (should not works also just after any file size modification, without closing it). => due to use of EOF which is not updated in real time. solution: to use for example LOF instead of EOF. - Runtime error if one compiles...

Re: Open Random file the EOF :Solved

FXM is saying that you are using the random mode of open file in an incorrect manner. A random file is a structured file. Random files are used with a set record size. Using a specific record length (like 12 in your case) is suspicious to say the least. Usually there is a record 'type' and you use ...
