Re: Minimal SeqBox container decoder

I thought about it. And it's actually quite possible and easy to use a larger/different block size, just by adding a new ver. and different parameters in the seqbox.py module. For example I put in a v2 with an absurdly low 128 byte size just to test that all the tools were working right with differe...

Minimal SeqBox container decoder

Here's a most simple decoder for a SeqBox container. ' SeqBox dumb decoder ' A minimal SeqBox container decoder sample with no checks ' (resulting file will be &h1A padded - usually not an issue) DIM inFileName AS STRING DIM outFileName AS STRING InFileName = "test.sbx" OutFileName = i...

TrIDLib - FreeBASIC usage sample

I have just released a free version of TrIDLib , a DLL that wrap the essentials features of my TrID file identifier tool. It let one add filetype recognition capabilities to an application / tool in a very easy & practical way (hopefully!). I included some samples sources that use it in various ...

It now use, in fact, a DB / single container, exactly to be ready immediately after startup. You just need the TrID.EXE and the TrIDDefs.TRD, both available as ZIP in the download section near the end of TrID 's page. If you want to try to create some new filetypes, just use the TrIDScan . It suffic...

Just updated the DB that now contains your defs too. See for example: http://mark0.net/soft-trid-deflist-p.html About the DLL. Yes, it's in the works, I hope to complete it soon. But, as the .NET version of the TrIDEngine, it probably would not be released for free (or not immediately). Maybe the Li...

OK, but in some way the same is true for any Windows XP box, for example, for someone raised on an Apple ][; there a knowledgable one was able to know near every time what was really goin'on, he known the schematics, etc. Now you have layers and layers of software between you and the machine. The CP...
