Re: New website

One more note - I don't know if it is already or not, but maybe make a public repo on github for the website so that people could check out and play around and send pull requests? Looking at it I hope it is not generated by CMS though ....

Re: New website

Also about code snippets on the home page - I wonder if we could add live code execution? Many compiler pages nowadays have this. I'm willing to help here so get in touch with me and we'll see what we can do. Would be awesome feature though! Samples: - D: http://dlang.org - Kotlin: http://try.kotlin...

Re: New website

Hi VonGodric, I know it's been a while since the original 0.4.6 release, and the final changes were never committed to CVS, but I was wondering: what is the state of the online source code in comparison to the 0.4.6 release? Could a new version conceivably be recreated from it without too much work...

Re: Freebasic v's C# code execution speed ?

perhaps you should try C# first, as it sounds like you dont know its fully OOP which also means, no it wont be as fast in certain areas, but the programming speed will be higher (noone measures speeds in hello world's and for loops) c# is java, for windows c# doesnt work on macs either... if you wa...

Re: Fbide website updated

TESLACOIL: Thanks for your feedback. I agree with few things you pointed out -such as make more clear WHAT user is downloading. But I can't do anything about SF opening up, because that's where I host the files. Also I don't think the new design and layout is quite as dire as you make it sound. It j...

I tried to keep the design slick, simple and modern. So I'm surprised if you had trouble figuring what to do. But i'm no gfx/ui designer so...

Do you mind showing a quick mockup of what you think would be a good layout?

Re: Search Engine Optimization

search results are personalized. Log out of google (and better yet use private browsing mode) and it is likely your results will differ. http://fbide.freebasic.net/Image/google-search-results-for-freebasic.png However I do agree SEO should be improved and have the main site come up first. No matter ...
