Re: ARM64 Deb?

Tested it on Debian on Termux on FlymeOS (Android 6.0) Runs and compiles code fine, But If/When the compiled program tries to create a window, it segfaults. Console only programs seem fine I'm pretty sure I have all the dependencies, So I'm a little at a loss. Shouldn't the compiler error if there w...

Re: Possible bug with nested WITH statements [need help verifying]

I thought WITH statements DID use a stack. How do they handle variable shadowing then? Also they can't be evaluated at compile time because the value might not be known, but if they are evaluated at runtime then why does THIS not work? #lang "fblite" option gosub type node x as integer end...

Re: Possible bug with nested WITH statements [need help verifying]

Oh, also:
compiler options tested: noflags, -e, -exx , -fpu sse
OS: win7, 64bit

And whats up with FreeBasic.net today?
The site seems a bit sick. Is this recent?
I haven't been here since the last time I found a bug, 2 years ago.

Possible bug with nested WITH statements [need help verifying]

I'm getting unexpected behavior with some nested WITH's in combination with GOSUB. After RETURNing from a procedure, the outer WITH scope seems to have been overwritten by the inner one, even though it should have been properly closed by END WITH. I'm using fbc 1.04 and the 1.05 changelog doesn't se...

Re: Compiler throws "segmentation violation signal" with -fp

System details: Windows 7, 64 bit CPU: i7-3770 (hyper-threading enabled) FBC 1.01.0 I'll try compiling with earlier versions of FBC when I get a chance. Hopefully later today. As to the code snippet, I have 1000+ lines of code combining to produce the error at the moment. And as you saw when I simpl...

[SOLVED]Compiler throws "segmentation violatio" with -fpmode

I recently tried some compiler flags to try improve my program speed, and when compiling with: "-fpu sse -fpmode fast", my compiler aborts with "segmentation violation signal" The code has compiled fine for years (don't ask) on versions from 0.22 with other flags (including just ...

Ok. Couldn't replicate it with my or fxm's code on fbc 0.15. (Win 7 this time, previously I used XP. I should keep my tests consistant.)
So which older version did I try earlier...?

@agamemnus Yeah I also found that certain lines before the SWAP stopped the bug. It seems to me to be faulty compiler optimization of SWAP. @fxm Great job on replicating it. Thnx. Your code is a lot easier to analyse. Enough people seem to have the problem that It should be submitted as a compiler b...

I'm stumped, this is not making sense. It seems only the first swap causes problems... #define SHORTSWAP '!!!!! uncomment to use SWAP command. crashes!!! ??? COMPILER BUG??? #define WTF '!!!!! uncomment to cause crash. But how? it is never executed!? const n = 10 ' distance to search for min/max pix...

-exx runs half the speed and doesn't crash, but doesn't help me find the bug either. With just -ex It returns a segmentation error. But why? these two bits of code #IFDEF SHORTSWAP swap tmin, minbuff(i,j) #ELSE t = tmin tmin = minbuff(i,j) minbuff(i,j) = t #ENDIF should be ide...

*surprised* That's interesting. And the later code doesn't crash for you? For me, the first posted code produces pixel identical images for methods 1&2 with the first line commented, and non-pixel identical images with it uncommented. the second code crashes with it uncommented so I can't tell w...
