Re: FBIde on Windows 10 error, Anyone?
I renamed the original "mingwm10.dll" to "mingwm10_.OLD". Then I copied the newer version of "mingwm10.dll" from the download. So I kept a backup of the old original version (2005 file). So there's only one DLL to replace. The other file in the screenshot is just the ol...

Re: FBIde on Windows 10 error, Anyone?
Hello, I saw the issue on a Windows 7 x64 PC recently. In that case the problem was related to the obviously very old "mingwm10.dll" included with the FBIDE download. I downloaded a newer version of the DLL from the MingW sourceforge site and replaced FBIDE's "mingwm10.dll" with ...

Re: How to use SAP with FreeBASIC
Hello Stefan,
Thank you for this interesting series of tutorials and the good work! (...and of course for the nice hints on the FreeBASIC-Portal! :-) )
Sooner or later I'm going to experiment with that.
Sebastian

Re: Jafile, the Filehost (new version of the FreeFile servic
Files are still downloadable ... but it would be cool to be able to at least kick selectively my files (rather then deleting them all). Any usable alternatives around? You can get a free webspace account on a FreeBASIC-Portal.de server to share your programming / *BASIC related contents: - Fair use...

Re: Annoying popups on forum
I haven't turned on JavaScript here (thanks NoScript). So I can't (and don't want to) check whether there are any popups in here. But it's not necessarily a server-sided issue. It can also be caused by client-sided adware, like badidea mentioned. Recently, I've been developing a web application and ...

Hey SARG, it's without www at the beginning, like MOD pointed out. :-) I don't think that this JaFile problem is dependent on the visitors' countries. The web hosting account seems to have been closed down by the web hosting company. In general, this might have different reasons, maybe there was a &...

Hello! PS: If anyone has the time, think we can occasionally scrape all of the [ code] blocks off of the site and archive them on GitHub? In my opinion, the main problem is the files stored on individually operated small home pages. They are referred to on the forums using external links. These home...

Re: Where get a Recent-Git-Build of FreeBASIC?
Sorry for the delay concerning the renewed daily build system. Right at the moment I'm very busy at university. Therefore, my open source community activities go on slowlier than normal. A few words about the backgrounds: There have been significant changes to the build process. We were completely o...

Re: Bad Mirror
you could call nat a firewall, but its really just address translation.. I'm conscious of that but for most end-users a consumer class DSL router with NAT fulfills the primary goal of a firewall: Protect your personal network from threats originating from other/outer networks. Of course it doesn't ...

Re: Bad Mirror
There were a lot of problems with remote-caused Windows malware infections back in the days when home computers were directly attached to the Internet. Nowadays, it's common to use a NAT router (DSL, HFC, ...). This means that your LAN computers aren't accessable from the Internet unless you set up ...

from the Denmark mirror. FreeBASIC-Portal.de does not provide any services (web hosting / mirroring, ...) to SourceForge. If you reached the site via the SourceForge mirror selection, it was definitely not FreeBASIC-Portal.de. Moreover, FreeBASIC-Portal.de is a German web site. Denmark is a differe...

Re: FB WIN32 SVN Daily Build
It could still be worth separating from the point of view of people who regularly download the daily build and don't want the extra MB of unchanged files each time. (That's my own inner minimalist speaking..) Yes, I agree. That would be a reasonable measure. But I can't promise a specific date for ...

Re: FB WIN32 SVN Daily Build
Finally, we've managed to rewrite our daily build system. :-) It works with the latest GIT repository contents now.
Please try it out and let me know whether you encounter any problems. :-)
