Re: Variable in code nulls / zeros...

Sometimes the error is the user. Apart from this today has been extremely stressful with 7 panic'ing people coming to me for answers and help. I was in the wrong location: bxc.bas did not exist in working directory. Ha! It compiles in fbc 2016 release working fine. Going to try it in 2018 release ne...

Re: Variable in code nulls / zeros...

Even that code you presented returns value: 0 Also nothing prints of line1$; Everything seems to be ignored after input statement in block. https://i.imgur.com/vFbwOaO.png Maybe a bug? Or do I need to downgrade? Furthermore I downgraded to the 2016 release and still same same: https://i.imgur.com/L1...

Re: Variable in code nulls / zeros...

Code cosmetics cleaned up a bit:

I added statement to store values of toke in a file as it is accumulating.

File was never created. As if everything within that if block is just ignored after the file input statement.

Re: Variable in code nulls / zeros...

Didn't work.

I declared the variable as an integer at very top and set it to zero at beginning of code.

Re: Variable in code nulls / zeros...

Thank you.

I will restructure for readability once I am happy with the program and declare my variables on the top.

Re: Variable in code nulls / zeros...

Compiled in lang -qb, yes.

Do I have to store these values in a file to reopen and feed them back in later?

Variable in code nulls / zeros...

code: https://termbin.com/amcp

Variable: toke
I count at line 182
Stores fine at lines 201 and 202
By line 255 it is zero, ???

I checked my code again and again and no where do I zero the variable after the beginning of the loop.

A$="123,45,1,89,22" how do I get column 4, which is 89?

A$="123,45,1,89,22" how do I get column 4, which is 89? Is there a function to specify columns built in or do I need to create this function?

Using -lang qb flag

Thanks

Pass parameters as variables from command line (Linux)

How can I pass parameters from the command line into the fbc compiled program? ie my program bxc.bas (benfordbench.org): ./bxc -f data.dat -n 10000 -d all -column 5 -w https://raw.githubusercontent.com/nytimes/covid-19-data/master/us-counties.csv ./bxc -f data.dat -n 10000 -d 1 -column 5 -w https://...

Blackberry KeyOne, having physical keyboard makes it a great as a portable Debian device.

Using the software Termux to install Deb or any other available distro (ie Arch.)
