Re: GUI compilations aslways detected as a virus

I removed that deepguard and other features a while ago, it seems that the 'plain' engine still sees it as a Gen:Trojan.Heur.Hype.gKW@[randomstring] so it's just guessing. had this before with VB6, I could create a false positive with 2 or 3 lines of harmless code. (just read in data from a web addr...

Re: GUI compilations aslways detected as a virus

it seems to freak out on this harmless line

screenres 640, 400, 32

uncommenting that one and the file doesn't get quarantined, weird.

GUI compilations aslways detected as a virus

Hello, I just installed the latest FB on another machine. For some reasone when I compile a GUI based application the F-Secure anti-virus always comes inbetween and trashes the generated .exe file. works fine for console based files tho. Anyone else having this issue and even better a solution for i...

Thanks Voodoo, It seems to include my PNG but at execution it's nagging about a missing zlib.dll. Can I include/attach that to my EXE aswell or will I still end up with several files instead of just 1 EXE file? Edit: ok, grabbed zlib1.dll from that mp3 player in the projects thread and now it works....

Was eddicted to NOTEPAD2 as it's just 1 EXE file that can be easily copied around on servers etc with leaving junk in the filesystem or registry, but it lacks tool/compiler options as it was made for that purpose. At the moment for coding compilerwise I'm using PSPAD. It's free and heavily in devell...

Hello, Yesterday I created a thread about adding images to my EXE file and got redirected to this thread. Which include source do I actually need to embed a BMP image and how do I access it? I guess BLOAD won't work at this level? I see a lot of sources in this thread, long and small ones but it's n...

Linking files inside exe

Hello,

What's the way of working to add a bmp or some raw gfx data inside my EXE and make it accessible through a pointer?

Do I have to go via .rc resource files or is that Windows GUI only?

Fast is kind of relative, ever compared some heavy looped code ran in FB and VB? Does FB's exe outperform that huge Visual framework? Would be interesting to know to choose our coding environment, unfortunatly everything jobwise in Belgium is 90+% .NET based so I guess it will be a pure hobby thing ...

well most things are *simple* but I don't want them to be as .VBS/HTA but a plain EXE, my code compiles and works fine in that new VB2005.NET but the pain in the @$$ is that... if you simply do a print "hello world" in the exe on another system it starts nagging that it required that 10+Mb .NET fram...

a few questions

Hello,

just figured out about this free compiler and wondered if it can do ...

- active directory stuff
- WMI stuff
- MSSQL/MYSQL/ODBC connections

to be honnest I was actually looking for a vbs/vb compiler to compile my code to NON .NET EXE's but that seems to be hopeless :/
