ListBox/ComboBox comfort search/navigator on the fly

Heapsort, up/down, integer, with Tagged array

Founded on rosetta webpage this nice code of 'heapSort' algo: Sub siftdown(hs() As Long, start As ULong, end_ As ULong) Dim As ULong root = start Dim As Long lb = LBound(hs) While root * 2 + 1 <= end_ Dim As ULong child = root * 2 + 1 If (child + 1 <= end_) AndAlso (hs(lb + child) < hs(lb + child + ...

Re: Howto speed-up sorts with using "Mutexes & Threads" ?

Indeed.Old code yet.
Combsort used, datasheet autogenerated everytime from raw data.Slow.
Quicksort, heapsort, incr.update - in betatest.Core subs change.

Howto speed-up sorts with using "Mutexes & Threads" ?

Hi, actually adapting a bigger datasheet for Multisort (posted in another topic). This one has 2 mio. rows to sorts; I see significant slowdown of whole preparing process; it takes cca 10 min. - create/load datasheet to arrays and (simple) pre-sort datasheet by 1 column for all important columns. Cc...

Hmm, this is weird.Help, please .. Slowly finishing to universal prototypes of Multi-cols sort method interface, but problem appeared. What is right syntax for dimensioning this datatype to (1 to su5) elements ? type row_typeMS dim as integer pivotMS(any) dim as integer indexMS end type Couple of er...

@ badidea Could you wrote a version of your solution for this type, please ?
