look forward to the unicode version :-)

Well, if you save the source code in UTF-8 format then unicode will work automatically with compiled exe.

Re: InputBox() in console program

@UEZ thank you but your input box as it is, lacks the functionality of returning user input, other than the yes or no but I like the fading effect :-) Indeed, my mind was at a messagebox rather than an inputbox. I updated the code but currently ANSI only. I need to find out how to get unicode compa...

Re: Accessing GIF Frames and Displaying GIF Images/Animations

@UEZ works as advertised :-) just an observation, when compiling with -w pedantic there are a number of warnings due to missing byval or byref in your function declarations, it's easy enough to see that they should be byval, except for arrays another thing, a normal exit is usually 0. I hope that y...

Re: Console off

The same flag should work for the GCC backend as the ASM one. If not, I'd say that's a bug. Sorry, I think I didn't express it properly. Of course the code works with -gen gcc properly but what I want to know is if there is a command line switch argument for gcc to set the linker not to show the co...

Re: Console off

Does anybody know how to suppress console window by using switches for -gen gcc compiler parameter? @dodicat: thanks for tip If you are writing code for windows it can be done inside the code.(Without any compiler switches) Example: declare function hideconsole alias "FreeConsole"() as boo...

Re: ByRef, ByVal, Sub, & Function

Here a simple example using function only. It's the same with sub except there is no return value. Function TestVal(x As Integer) As Integer x += 1 Return x End Function Function TestRef(ByRef x As Integer) As Integer x += 1 Return x End Function Dim As Integer x = 0 ? "Value x: " & x,...

Thanks for your feedback. I can test it only on my Win10 machine but it seems it doesn't run properly on WinXP.
