Re: FB debugger : 2.96 32/64 BIT ..... (2020/02/17)

Okay and thanks, SARG! One more question about JIT debugger: in "Set JIT debugger" option in FBdebugger, now the current is bordbg61.exe (I have an old Borland C++ Builder on my computer). What should I do? Restore the default JIT debugger ("Dr Watson" DRWTSN32... I don't know wh...

Re: FB debugger : 2.96 32/64 BIT ..... (2020/02/17)

Thanks, SARG! I tried your suggestion with command line (I build it so: fbc -g -exx mygame.bas then I ran it in command line), and my program crashes immediately, but now command line shows me those lines which contain error. But interesting: when I ran the game across FB debugger, it could run with...

Re: FB debugger : 2.96 32/64 BIT ..... (2020/02/17)

Hello SARG (and other programmers)! I develop an RTS game with FB (using: FreeBASIC-0_23_0-win32\FBIde0_4_6r4) under Windows 10 (64 bit). But when I running the game, it sometimes crashes and would like send an error message to Microsoft. Although often everything is OK with the game. I try to use F...

Re: Mouse trouble

Here is the key to my problem: if (mousebutton and 1) then if mousex>=scrollarrows(i).xplace and mousex<=scrollarrows(i).xplace+64 and mousey>=scrollarrows(i).yplace and mousey<=scrollarrows(i).yplace+64 then select case scrollarrows(i).itssprite case leftarrowspr(0) scrarrsprite=leftarrowspr(1) cas...

Re: Mouse trouble

Yes, BasicCoder2, my problem is exactly that you explain your code. I thought, something wrong with the FOR loop in my program somewhere here: (...) elseif leftmousebuttonpressed=1 and mousex>=scrollarrows(i).xplace and mousex<=scrollarrows(i).xplace+64 and mousey>=scrollarrows(i).yplace and mousey<...

Re: Mouse trouble

I wrote a piece of code focusing onto my problem. In this you can click the left and right circles to scroll the circles within. But only works with the right scroll circle, backwards not. #include "fbgfx.bi" Using FB dim shared as ubyte numofshowicon,leftmousebuttonpressed=0,arraystart,ca...

Re: Mouse trouble

Hello Dodicat!

My problem is now with the FOR loop, because I don't understand why is it not execute the SELECT CASE in case of i=0? (See the code in my first post.)
What happening with the SELECT CASE within the loop?

Re: Mouse trouble

I almost solved my problem, but something still wrong. Here is the FOR loop in a nutshell, that manage the two arrows, which show icons to the player: for i as ubyte=0 to 1 if scrollarrow(i).exists=1 then (...) (manage the mouse) if (mousebutton and 1) then (if mouse over scrollarrow(i) then change ...

Re: Mouse trouble

Thank you for your answers, Badidea and Dodicat! I will try these.
(Badidea, you can't run my code directly, because these are only few lines from my program.)

Mouse trouble

Hello members! I have a big problem: I would like to scroll 3 images between two arrow icons. These 3 images are part of more images, but I would like show these 3 ones once, therefore I need the two arrow icons to scroll. Everything is OK until this point. But I would like to scroll only if the pla...

Re: playing sounds with fmod

St_W: I used a free channel with FSOUND_FREE option. What will happen if I stop sound on this channel? All sounds will stop in the game?

Dodicat: is the Regulate function controls the speed of your program? May I use it in my games too?

Re: playing sounds with fmod

Thanks, UEZ! I have found this page on the web: https://documentation.help/fmod/FSOUND_Sample_Load.html and on the basis of it I rewrote my code: mysound=FSOUND_Sample_Load(FSOUND_FREE,"sounds\a_sound.wav",fsound_loop_normal,0,0) But when I use the fsound_stopsound(mysound) command, the so...

Re: playing sounds with fmod

Hello all! I have a question that suits here (at least, I hope :-) ). How can I loop sounds with FMOD? I would like play a sound continuously in my game until a certain game object exists. Is there a command for it or can I solve it something the following way: if fsound_sound_ispalying(sound)=false...

Re: The island - An RTS game

Unfortunately I also have no time to play with these games, but since I started to programming, I realized that making games and other programs are much better than just play.
Programming is my main gratification. And it seems I have grew up - unfortunately: I would like be forever young. :-)
