Now if I tell you guys I created a YAHTZEE! game nothing to it right? If I tell you I created a Text YAHTZEE! game it's still expected from a text lover like me right? What if, I tell you I made a game called Color Triple YAHTZEE! What is your mind thinking now? Well, I did just that and you can read it (and get it) right here in our game section.

Color Triple YAHTZEE! is more than a new version of a now classic dice game, it's a portal into the twisted mind of it's creator (namely, me! ;-) ). So take a look, give it a try and let me know what you think. I don't believe there's any problems with it so if you notice something, let me know so I can correct it.

You just need to take a look our last games page (page 3) right here.

MAIN FEATURES:

* 1 to 4 players can play at a time.
* Dice Face value AND Color of the face come to play in this game hence new scoring possibly are available.
* Added to the first feature 3 columns (SINGLE score, DOUBLE Points and TRIPLE points) for higher scores.
* Any and all possible scoring options are automatically evaluated and shown to you on the scoreboard for selection.
* You can save your current game (should you need to) and come back later to finish it.
* It keeps track of the top 100 scores you made and allows you to view them at any time from the main menu.

The title page is 95% EK's creation, the rest is my two cents ;-) but I love how it looks hehe.

Let me know what you think when you get to try it.

Well, I love the ASCII design, the interface and the save game feature. I just seem to...hate Yahtzee. I don't know. The rules just don't stick on me. And you didn't explain them well in the doc. I had to visit Wikipedia to understand it. Plus your new rules just add to confusion. I guess it takes for the player to get which scores are good and which score he/she should consider a success/failure.

I'll try once more.

BTW, can I add this to FBGD? If I don’t get a handle of the game, I won’t rate it, but only the remaining FBGD staff members.

Sure thing Lachie, you can add it :-).

I will detail the rules more in the document and reupload.

When you think about it, Yahtzee is alot like poker but with dices instead of cards. :-)

I'll let you know when you can read them again, hence when I updated them, should be today or tomorrow at the very latest. :-).

let me know when it's on fbgd. so I can go have a look :-).

Nice version. FYI, there was a color version of a Yahtzee-like game published called Kismet, but it didn't have the nice rule-set you have.

Good job on this.

Interesting game this Kismet, I never heard of it before. To allow for my rule-set I basically gave each number a different color on each face number instead of having the same number in the same color like Kismet seems to have.

Ok I have added to the CTYREAD.TXT file in there, added the rules of what is considered a good combination of dices for all hands on the score board.

I also managed to find a little problem in the game. If you got a flush or a yahtzee at the first roll you wouldn't get the fancy message ;-). So everything is uploaded, same link as posted on the first post in this thread.

Lachie, if you get a chance, let me know if the instructions are good enough :-).

Yes, much better. I just didn't get yet when the game ends with one player and how total scoring makes sense then.

Right, I can add that in too. basically you have 3 columns of 23 rows. so 69 turns of up to 3 roll of dies each.

Hmmm 69, french creator, 69...hmmm...errr...nevermind ;-) lol

I got the game now. I probably should have been more patient. Being constantly online is no good. Makes me look stupid.

Anyway, I got the score of 1044 in my first game. I probably sucked. It's really hard to know correctly which scores when to choose, and when to roll again. Too many combinations.

So preset scores to beat wouldn't be bad.

Overall, the game is 12/20 in my book. Excellent interface and code, but even if it was its best shape I couldn't give it more than 14/20. It just doesn't have material for more. Perhaps if it wasn't ASCII and featured some Super Stack style graphical effects and sound, it would be 16/20.

lol 12/20 is fine by me ;-)....the code is there, I can thing of a few graphic Gurus that could probably do a much better job than me. Im good with GUI and Interface, not graphics per se ;-).

So i'll accept 12/20 with a smile and see if anyone will push that mark up for me a few notches ;-)....hehe

Hey, here's an idea, How about anyone that has tried and played a game send me their scores (here on the forum, or in emails). and I'll create a default top 100 list out of that?
