|
|
This is my first project in FB!
Itīs the foundation that I will be using to write a complete side scroller game (for those who remember Gaming Golds, itīll be the remake of Albukīs Quest). More details on that in the next few months =D
The source is included in the ZIP!

Very nice demo! Albuk's Quest is a cool game. :)
One little suggestion: Have Mario jump at varying heights depending on how long you hold the jump button... So if you just tap it, he'll do a little hop, and if you press it and hold it down when he jumps, he'll do a full-height jump. Also, when you hold down the left or right buttons, you could have the character accelerate the longer you hold them, so that they go into a full-out run after a little while.
If you already thought of all this, kindly disregard my suggestions. :P |

Hehe, the jump thingy is in the plans, I'll implement it ASAP =D
As for running, I don't think it will fit very well with teh gameplay I'm planning for Albuk's Quest, but you can expect some surprises.
Thanks! |

Ok, the project has been progressing (more like crawling =D) slowly. It now features a scrolling map, framerate-independent movement and some other things. I'd like if everyone could test it out as much as you can, and report weird things to me (character falling through where it shouldn't, etc), although I believe most of them are already resolved. Also, please tell me your PC configuration and the FPS you're getting.
In the next update, I'll add my own art and it will look more like the final game =D
Oops, almost forgot the link:
