I think it would be worth it, just to have some complete racing games in FB.

And to make me famous. Of course, God hates me, so this will never happen... Or I try to have version 1.0 of any engine of mine the first time I code something, and I hate myself.

Is anyone other than Z!re, Dr_D, and I going to enter?
I think we need a new thread so more people know about this.
If some potential participants have not heard about the competition yet, you might want to extend the competition by one week.

We need a clarification of the rules.
Ie I think Z!re was building his entry from a large, closed-source library, which no one else can use, but this was not allowed in previous competitions.
(Ie my small library was open source, and everyone has equal access to the FMod library.)

Also, what hardware do the entrants have?
For example, if an entry requires good 3D hardware, Lachie and some others won't be able to run it well, so this will work against 3D games.
So we need to know how much hardware we are working with. ;-)

Rules: Make a driving game.
Prize: A driving game.
Starts: Open editor of choice and we'll see where our relationship goes.
Ends: When the driving game is released.

Minor modification:

"I guess the guy who goes out and gets a LIFE."

Well, at least there exists a FreeBASIC racing game now. ;) Also, it's inspired me to make this, so I'm very happy that this challenge came about. I don't care if I'm breaking the rules or not... I've been meaning to work on this engine for a long time.

Nice ;)

I think that if this competition is on, then there needs to be a new thread. I didn't know that this thread was being posted in :O

Again, the prize money is still up for grabs, and I'm quite happy for you to decide the rules, start and finish times, judging etc. yourselves. Just let me know when I'll need to pay up.
