From France, no connection at all throughout the morning (like yesterday).

Admin, can we have some informations about that great disturbance?

Maybe Plasma knows more.
I do not think this is a server problem this time (unless they have changed it).
http://www.site5.com/support/current-status/r2-dallas/ seems always ok!

I think it's the Server/Connection ...
The Monitoring seems to be 'crappy':
NOT the Monitoring Application, but the IMPLEMENTATION!

Who knows WHAT they're monitoring ???

It is true that before the last few days, the r2-dallas server status was often in overloading or in HTTP/MySQL fault.
Now its status is green all the time (too good to be true!).

Maybe freebasic.net is no longer on this server?

This is but one of the possible reasons:
Another one might be that the Hosting-Providers capacity (the 'pipeline(s)' to the Internet) are at 100% load all the Time.
This could explain that 'internal' Server-Monitoring shows 'all OK', whilst connection/persistence (of connection) is far from OK.

This whould mean to me either:
- upgrade connection-capacity's or ...
- going 'out of business' in a very short Time!

Hello all,

yesterday (2014-07-25) writing in:
http://www.freebasic.net/forum/viewtopi ... =2&t=22740 Title: Return an array from a Function.
I've seen the post from: 'maves_moya' before mine ...
however, the earlier post by 'dodicat' WAS NOT DISPLAYED at 'reload page' in browser (FireFox, actual Ver.).

Only today, I noticed dodicat's first post, how ist this possible? My location is similar to dodicat's: CEST = UTC+2.

This behaviour is annoying ... since writing posts to already answered questions is not 'my thing', unless the approach
is a really different way to reach the result.

regards MrSwiss

Hello,

I have no idea, except "the forum is buggy" or "caching issue".

I haven't seen something like that myself, but sometimes when I'm making a post, someone else will make a post in the meantime, and the forum notifies me of that before accepting my post.

Sometimes people delete their posts and make new ones, though according to the moderator log that didn't happen in that thread.

With new accounts the forum is still using this system where the first 3 posts have to be approved before they become visible (to prevent spammers), so that can easily cause posts to appear in the middle of the thread if they got approved a little late.

This also didn't happen ... no notification that somebody posted in the meantime. There were actually 2 Posts.

Well that may be the case for 'maves_moya', however 'dodicat' has in excess of 2600 posts in this forum.

This answer just to keep you informed.
Could it be, that the integration of CODE-HIGHLITER 'GeSHi' has something to do with it?
The hilighting isn't correct on definition 'Long' (and maybe ULong too, there may be even more!).

I didn't do anything to my post after I submitted it MrSwiss.
I cannot think what went wrong your end.

Hardly any BASIC highlighting here, only single, double and most of the numerical datatypes, string and zstring, wstring.
Numbers come up highlighted and strings (inside ""~~"")

You are correct, 2600 plus posts is far too many, although to be fair, they are over a number of years.

When people on the FreeBASIC Forum have the answer to something,
They tend to answer within a few minutes.
Which is interesting,
And perhaps reflects our personal and professional lives.

Now I have a similar problem in topic squares.
I saw a post just before Albert's post July 30th.
It was something to do with pool for Linux, no code posted, just a question.
I forget who posted.
Now it has gone!

anonymous1337,
They are road works on the A716 just now, My broadband speed varies zero to 900 Kbps, so quite often I have to wait an hour or so to reply, occasionally a whole day might pass.
So the time between answering a post and wanting to answer a post varies quite a bit quite often in this neck of the woods.
