Re: Game programming competition....
Probably a bit late now as there is only two weeks to go.
Apart from a couple of games like "Toad on Fire" I am not sure how many FreeBasic game programmers there are left?
Haven't they all moved on to other languages designed for writing games?

I still dabble in making games. I am no good at it, but I am trying to get better.BasicCoder2 wrote:Probably a bit late now as there is only two weeks to go.

Not good at the code or not good on the ideas?Imortis wrote:I still dabble in making games. I am no good at it, but I am trying to get better.
As you might notice I have spent some time on the basic mechanics of a game but never wrote a large game myself.
There are so many games out there any game, unless particularly special or well promoted, will tend to be lost.
I see the Halloween theme is well used.

Mostly ideas. If you look at the stuff I have posted lately it is mostly engine/helper stuff. I obsess over the HOW and end up struggling with the WHAT.BasicCoder2 wrote:Not good at the code or not good on the ideas?

I did a Halloween facsimile , but I cannot believe six years have since passed.

32 bit fbc now and then.
I haven't aged too much, but have less teeth, and require specs for close up things.
