DirectX Screen Errors?

Hello, I am running the following and I get a "Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault" error on the ScreenRes function call. I have searched this forum and saw similar topics. My code works if I put this at the top "SetEnviron("fbgfx=gdi"). I haven't tried updating the directX since it ...

jpeglib.bi

Hello, Before I submit a bug, I wanted to get confirmation here. In jpeglib.bi, should #ifdef __FB_WIN32__ type boolean as ubyte #else type boolean as integer #endif be just: type boolean as integer ...in other words boolean => integer in windows The example under 'examples\gfx\jpeg_read.bas' and my...

I'm using Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 and I expect sizeof(bool) to be 1 byte. That is what it prints if I print sizeof(bool). That is why I used Byte instead of Integer in the FreeBASIC code.

Is it possible to use a UDT in the List container? I tried to do code similar to the hashtable_udt example, but couldn't get it to work.

ImageCreate is slow for what I want to draw. It is a 1280x960 image. It takes about a second to update the screen on my computer. The code I posted was just an example. Is there an API or function that will transfer the pixels to an FB image without going pixel-by-pixel like I am currently doing? Th...

Draw Image from pixels

What is the best method of drawing an image given a pointer to pixel data? See the example below: Const imageWidth = 100 Const imageHeight = 100 Dim imageDataPtr As Byte Ptr Dim index As Integer = 0 imageDataPtr = Allocate(imageWidth * imageHeight) For i As Integer = 0 To imageHeight - 1 For...

KetilO, I just wanted to inform you of two issues that I have with FbEdit. 1. When I start FbEdit and click the 'Restore' button, the Window goes off of my desktop onto where a second screen would be (but I'm currently using one screen - the laptop screen). I can get around it by right-clicking on t...
